Dr. Jen Aronowitz is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the treatment and support of neurodivergent children, adolescents, and young adults. She has been fortunate to be part of different multidisciplinary treatment teams in various inpatient and outpatient settings. She has long provided comprehensive evaluations to assess for neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD, autism, and specific learning differences. She also works with children who have epilepsy or suffered a traumatic brain injury to provide a baseline and track their progress. She understands the important impact of anxiety, mood, sleep, sensory processing, and behavior on every individual’s presentation and strives to help you understand your whole child.
She has been in private practice for over twenty-five years and completed her research internships at UCSF, first, with a focus on infant attachment and temperament, and then with a focus on pediatric epilepsy. She did her clinical internship in neuropsychology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Then, she did a two-year fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Her aim is to get to know your child and what makes them shine, through feedback from parents, teachers, clinicians, and most importantly, the time she gets to spend with them, learning about their perspectives, interests, and what brings them joy. She provides helpful summaries and useful research to help parents better understand her conclusions and offers extensive referrals and recommendations to help kids thrive. Finally, her most important education has come from parenting her two amazing boys, who provide constant reminders that she always has more to learn.
